Abhi-Ash`s first outing post baby at Deshmukh-Bhagnani wedding

Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza’s wedding was a star studded event, the wedding and the reception of Riteish’s younger brother Dhreeaj was no less!

The youngest Deshmukh tied the knot with producer Vashu Bhagnani’s daughter, Honey on 27th February in Mumbai. And it was just like a recap of Riteish-Genelia’s wedding.

The Bollywood brigade came in full attendance to bless the newly weds at their reception and media went into a frenzy clicking the stars in traditional attires.
B-town’s latest mommy brigade also came out in traditional attires at the wedding reception. Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan made their first public appearance together, post the birth of their baby girl. The couple had also attended Riteish and Genelia’s wedding but had come on separate events. While Abhishek had come for the wedding, Aishwarya had attended the reception along with her in-laws Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan.

New mum, actress Lara Dutta also came sans hubby Mahesh Bhupathi. The new mum looked stunning in a Ritu Kumar black saree and smiled for the lenses.

Mommy-to-be Shilpa Shetty came with her husband Raj Kundra. The actress glowed in a orange saree and looked visibly pregnant. The actress’s parents and sister Shamita Shetty were also present at the reception.

Newly weds, Riteish and Genelia were seen welcoming all their friends from the film fraternity and happily posed for the shutterbugs.

Owing to Vashu Bhagnani, Riteish and Genelia, almost the entire film fraternity gathered to celebrate the marriage of two non celebrities.

Other celebrities who were spotted at the reception included Dilip Kumar and Saira Bano, Anupam Kher,Govinda, Anil Kapoor, Dia Mirza with boyfriend Sahil Sangha, Jia Khan, Urmila Matondkar(who looked pristine in a white and pink ensemble), Sanjay Dutt with wife Manyata, Ameesha Patel, Arjun Rampal with Meher Jessia.

Salman Khan also came in for the wedding but was not seen at the reception.

Salman’s surprise gift for newlyweds Riteish and Genelia

Salman Khan might have missed the wedding celebration of Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza, but the big hearted star has plans to make it up for his close friends in a grand way.

According to sources, Sallu has planned a holiday vacation as a gift for the newlyweds.

Sources confirm that a proposal to host a grand bash for Riteish and Genelia was mooted, but ultimately discarded, largely because of Sallu’s health and work preoccupations.

About his absence from the wedding, a friend of the ‘Dabangg’ star said, “Salman was completely cut off in Cuba and couldn’t make it to the wedding, but he has been planning just how to mark the occasion.”

Talking to a daily, a source said, “Salman has already sent his best wishes to the couple. He’ll meet them as soon as he is back in the city.”

Well, it seems there are still more surprises in store for Riteish and Genelia.

Actress Aishwarya Bachchan attended Riteish-Genelia Reception

Since the birth of Beti B in mid-November last year, actress Aishwarya Bachchan has been avoiding shutterbugs and public eye. Apart from a brief outing a few days back with talk-show queen Oprah Winfrey, Ash hasn’t been seen outside at all.

When actors Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’Souza tied the knot, however, Aishwarya shed all her hide-and-seek demeanour and attended the reception of the star couple. Riteish-Genelia’s reception took place yesterday, and Ash was seen in dressed in an anarkali suit for the same. When the green-eyed beauty was spotted, all the shutters turned to capture her rare outing. It was sight that no one wanted to miss out on!

At Parameshwar Godrej’s party hosted in honour of Oprah Winfrey a while back, Aishwarya was last seen venturing out in front of cameras.
