Sri Lanka vs Pakistan Live Score: Asia Cup 2012

Aizaz Cheema and Saeed Ajmal managed to take 7 Sri Lankan wickets between them as Pakistan restrict Sri Lanka to a paltry 188 runs in the third ODI at the Shere Bangla National Stadium on Today.

Ajmal finished with a tally of 3 wickets while Cheema grabbed three for Pakistan. Sangakkara and Tharanga played well to rescue Sri Lanka from a big embarrassment
as at one point the Islanders were struggling at 65/4.

Kumar Sangakkara was the top-scorer for Sri Lanka with 71 and Upul Tharanga contributed 57 to the Sri Lankan innings.

Saeed Ajmal broke the partnership with a doosra. Tharanga did not pick it one bit. He ended up playing for the conventional offie, the gap was created between the bat and the pad as he looked to drive.

Over 33:Tharanga (50 from 66 balls) and Sangakkara (50 from 75 balls) completed their respective fifties.
Sri Lanka were 146/4.

Over 26: After the top order flop show, Sangakkara and Tharanga slowly steadied the ship. Total crossed 100-run mark in the 26th over.

Over 8.4: Sri Lanka face a top order collapse with the wicket of Chandimal. Chandimal got outside edge off length ball from Umar Gul. Younis grabbed it without making mistake at slips.

Over 7.1: Cheema struck again, this time to remove dangerman Dilshan. Sri Lanka were 43/2. Dilshan erred while playing a short delivery on middle and off. Gifted a catch to Ajmal at mid-on.

Over 5.1:Aizaz Cheema got the first breakthrough for Lankans. Jayawardene drove a length ball outside the off stump straight to Hafeez at cover.

Over 4: No respite for Cheema. Runs continued to flow. Gave away 8 runs in the fourth over on a good batting track. Sri Lanka 30/0 after four overs.

Over 1 & 2: Runs leaked in the second over after Umar Gul gave Pak a decent first over. 17 runs came in Cheema's over.

Sri Lanka captain Mahela Jayawardene won the toss and elected to bat first against Pakistan in the third ODI at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur on Thursday.

Sri Lankan team, which is minus all-rounder Angelo Mathews, brought back Lasith Malinga. Mathews was ruled out of the series due to calf injury.

According to the pitch report, the third match of the Asia Cup will see plenty of runs.
