Russian-made ammunition found in al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden's house

Russian-made ammunition has been found in al Qaeda chief Osama bin Laden's high-walled compound in Abbottabad, a media report said on Friday.

The inquiry commission probing the US commando raid that led to the killing of Osama bin Laden on May 02 last year has learnt that Russian-made ammunition was found in the compound.

The ammunition was in a cupboard, sources told Dawn.

One casing of a used bullet was found.

The US operation was carried out without tipping off the Pakistani military, straining ties between Islamabad and Washington.
