RCom launches India's first CDMA Android tablet

 Reliance Communications has announced the launch country's first Android tablet with CDMA support today. Dubbed as Reliance CDMA Tab, it joins the already available 3G GSM tablet from the telecom operator in the market.

With cheap tablets being the latest craze among Indian consumers, every telco wants to captilise on it. State-run BSNL also recently launched three tablets priced in different budget segments.

Reliance CDMA Tab comes with Android 2.3 OS, 7 inch capacitive display and will be sold for INR 12,999. RCom is also bundling various data offers with the tablet. According to the company issued press release, consumers will be able to make voice calls from the tablet, thus giving them both voice and high-speed data connectivity on the go.

Tablet will be pre-loaded with 15 popular entertainment, social networking and communication apps along with the access to Google's Play Shop to download more.
