India's Most Wanted


Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar
The Indian-born underworld don has a huge criminal empire, called the D-company, and has close ties with al Qaeda, Pak’s ISI and other terror groups. Ibrahim was listed 4th in Forbes’ 2008 list of dreaded criminals. He also orchestrated the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts and lives freely somewhere in Karachi, although his whereabouts are still a mystery as this fugitive has reportedly stayed in Dubai and UAE as well in the past.



Chhota Shakeel
Shakeel, an underworld gangster, is a trusted ally of fugitive Dawood Ibrahim. He is the arch-rival of Chotta Rajan, another underworld gangster. He fled India after the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts and was accused of involvement in the attacks. He is currently reported to be hiding in Saudi Arabia after spending some time in Pakistan post Osama bin laden’s killing.


Hafeez Muhammad Saeed
He founded the jihadist group, Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in 1990. He has orchestrated a number of attacks on the Indian soil including the December 13, 2011 attack on Parliament; July 11, 2006 train bombings in Mumbai, and was also the mastermind behind the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. In 2011, India declared him as one of the most wanted terrorists. Jammu and Kashmir is one issue that evokes him to attack India again and again.





 

Maulana Masood Azhar
He is the founder of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), a Pakistan-based militant outfit. This man, who hates India, is the mastermind behind the hijacking of Indian Airlines Flight IC-814 in December 1999 and also the attack on Parliament in December 2001. He was even captured by Indian authorities in 1994 but was forcibly released in the IC-814 terrorist swap case. He remains one of the most wanted terrorists on India’s list.
